The Grands Crus of
BOURGOGNE
In Bourgogne, ‘Climats’ refer to parcels of vines that have been strictly demarcated for centuries, often since the Middle Ages. Each Climat has its own unique characteristics, whether in terms of geology, hydrometry or exposure. Vinified separately from a single grape variety, each wine proudly bears the name of its Climat of origin. Thanks to the expertise of the winemakers, the personality of each Climat is revealed vintage after vintage. Nowhere else is wine production so closely linked to its terroir. The Climats de Bourgogne embody the essence of the Burgundy winegrowing model.

In Bourgogne, the art of unique winemaking
The grapes harvested in each Climat are vinified separately from a single variety. This is how the wine takes on the name of the Climat from which it is made.
There are many variations among these different Climats, in their names, compositions and geographical locations. Each parcel has been carefully selected, taking into account its appearance, the type of soil and the surrounding vegetation. It’s all about making high quality wine, and this has been done over the generations to make the Climats what they are today.
