A Unique Online Shopping Experience for Fine Wines and Champagnes

Ghislain de Castelbajac
Ghislain de Castelbajac, with international experience in the Middle East, the United States, Latin America and Europe, was appointed CEO of a major Bordeaux wine merchant on his return to France. Thanks to his leadership, he was able to turn the company around and diversify its distribution channels, in particular with the direct allocation of primeur wines to châteaux.
Over the last 10 years, Ghislain has forged strong links with many Bordeaux producers. Aware of rising prices and the scarcity of great wines, he launched www.grands-crus.net and www.grandscrus.wine to offer an alternative for early purchase and delivery, while respecting the work of the winegrowers.
Romain de Sèze
A graduate of the VATEL Paris hotel school (2001), Romain de Sèze spent ten years living in Burgundy, where he owns a house that he visits regularly to tour wine estates.
Over the last 13 years, Romain has built up strong, friendly relationships with a wide range of Burgundy producers, from small independent winemakers to some of the world’s most prestigious houses.
Romain distributes the wines he has selected via private sales within his company. In partnership with Ghislain de Castelbajac, he also offers these wines on the GrandsCrus.net website.

A Family Affair
The Castelbajac family roots itself in the legendary region of Gascogne (Gascony) with proofs of nobility traced before the Xth century.
The Castelbajac have always been at the forefront of the great history of the Gascogne province, from Bordeaux to the Pyrénées and from the Atlantic ocean to Toulouse. Some of their members were also active during the Crusades with important military roles, most served the Kings of France with devotion.
Today, some of their members are intimately linked to the love of wine: wine makers, oenologists, wine merchants, wine artists. Ghislain de Castelbajac is the owner of the château de Caumont in the Gers (Gascogne), a vast chateau, but which doesn’t produce wine directly, although they assemble an excellent ‘garage’ wine from a neighbouring producer of the Côtes de Gascogne appellation, which is sold exclusively on site at the château de Caumont.

A Direct Access to the Grands Crus of Bordeaux and Bourgogne
As a truly wine lover, Ghislain de Castelbajac has implemented a renown wines merchant company using the En Primeurs system in use for the most famous Grands Crus of Bordeaux.
Since 2012, he has developed a solid network of the most prestigious wine producers of the area and is also well connected with the crème de la crème wines of Bourgogne (Burgundy), notably through his friend and partner Romain de Sèze.
Our cellar offers the best available prices to the end customers either by offering En Primeurs prices direct from the producers, and Deliverable wines. En Primeurs allows you to purchase wines at the best price possible, with a delivery 18 months after purchase. For deliverable wines, grands-grus.net has crafted a unique automation technology using best price bidding, allowing the customer to purchase wines at bid price.
Our expertise
It’s all about trust. It is in this philosophy that we have been able to forge privileged relationships over the years with the owners of the most Grands Crus Classés. The prestigious Châteaux trust us to distribute their rare wines in the best conditions. It is this rarity that we pass on to you when you are allocated the Grands Crus that will contribute to the prestige of your selection.

Our values
Aware of the challenges of sustainable development, we have also decided to trust the Bordeaux wines and Bourgogne wines producers’ Climate Plans roadmaps. Thus, we are therefore committed to contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, to the reduction of energy consumption and water and increased use of renewable energies.
