Saint-Émilion: Diversity, Innovation and Terroir Precision
Saint-Émilion, located on Bordeaux’s Right Bank, offers one of the region’s most complex mosaics of soils and microclimates. From limestone plateaus to gravel terraces and sandy soils, the appellation delivers a broad stylistic range—from powerful, structured wines to fresher, more ethereal expressions.
Two estates stand out for their consistent excellence and emblematic styles:
– Château Cheval Blanc, a Premier Grand Cru Classé A, benchmark of elegance, finesse, and longevity.
– Château Quinault L’Enclos, a Grand Cru Classé and Cheval Blanc’s “urban vineyard,” cultivated biodynamically within the Libourne commune.
